Thank you for being here, and wanting to make a difference. I am raising fund by running the 2025 BoA Chicago Marathon to support the Mission of Our Lady of the Angels (OLA), an incredible Catholic organization of Archdiocese Chicago under Bishop Bob Lombardo, dedicated to serving the West Humboldt Park community in Chicago—one of the most challenged neighborhoods in the U.S.
Mission of Our Lady of the Angels provides both material and spiritual support to those in need. Each month, the Mission feeds over 4,400 families and offers essential services to individuals of all ages, including youth and senior citizens. But more than just meeting basic needs, the Mission brings the love of Christ and hope to a community that needs it more than ever. Learn more about the Mission at www.missionola.com.
Why I’m Running:
Funds raised through Team OLA 2025 will help the Mission in two critical ways:
1. Meeting demands of famillies: Expanding the Food Pantry and Material Support
The Mission currently serves over 4,400 families a month, and that number is only growing. Your donations will help expand and improve their food pantry and other material distribution efforts to continue serving those in need.
2. Mission OLA is growing! Renovating a Convent for More Sisters
To support the growing outreach efforts, the Mission needs to renovate an additional convent for their young sisters in formation. This project is essential to the future of their ministry and will help the Mission continue to bring both spiritual and material support to the community.
