Team OLA 2025!

I'm running the 2025 Bank of America Chicago to support Mission of Our Lady of the Angels!

Mission of Our Lady of the Angels exists to provide material and spiritual support to W. Humboldt Park, Chicago- one of the most challenged neighborhoods in the US. The Mission feeds about 4400 families a month, provides additional material and pastoral support to families, youth, and senior citizens, and, most importantly, brings the love of Christ to a neighborhood desperately in need of hope. Funds raised from Team OLA 2025 will be used to:

(1) Help the Mission expand its food pantry + other material distributions

-Mission of Our Lady of the Angels currently serves about 4400 families a month- and growing!

-Help the Mission continue to expand and improve this outreach.

(2) Help the Mission renovate an additional convent for more sisters!

-We need a separate convent for our young sisters in formation

-This renovation project is essential to the future expansion of our material and spiritual outreach. Additional details about the project will be released once they are available!

We had Thanksgiving lunch for about 500 & we distributed 1500+ turkeys last November!

Mother's Day Lunch at Mission OLA

We host community meals about once a month. We invite our neighbors to pray and share a meal with us. It has been a beautiful way to help our broken community be a little more united each time we come together.

Thanks for stopping by and considering donating. This upcoming October, I'll be running my first marathon, and I'm excited to be doing it while fundraising for team OLA! I became close to this awesome community a few years ago when I had the chance to live with them in Humboldt Park for the summer and witness all the great work they are doing for their neighbors. Their compassion, energy, and joy was unmatched and contagious and I frequently found myself laughing (perhaps even more than working). I never loved pulling weeds from sidewalk cracks or unloading 100's of frozen chickens more than I did that summer. As I'm continuing on in seminary formation, being able to visit the sisters when I'm available is always a great joy and encouragement, and as such, I'm excited to be able to help them in return through your generous support!


