I'm running the 2025 Bank of America Chicago to support Mission of Our Lady of the Angels! 

Mission of Our Lady of the Angels exists to provide material and spiritual support to W. Humboldt Park, Chicago- one of the most challenged neighborhoods in the US. The Mission feeds about 4000 families a month, provides additional material and pastoral support to families, youth, and senior citizens, and, most importantly, brings the love of Christ to a neighborhood desperately in need of hope. Funds raised from Team OLA 2025 will be used to:

1) Help us purchase food and diapers that were previously donated. 

-We participated in a program where we received 45,000 diapers a month for free and this program has abruptly ended. We are now purchasing our own diapers to support our neighbors, about 1,250 families per month.

-Our directly donated food from the food bank has been cut in half since last October and our Saturday pantry was completely cut from the food bank. The number of people we are serving has not changed and we continue to serve about 4,000 families with food per month. 

2) Cover operating expenses

-All of our programs are offered at no cost and our operating budget runs around $1 million each year. 

3) Any excess funds will go to the St. Hyacinth project

-We are renovating the former convent at St. Hyacinth to be our new house of formation for young sisters
