Why I'm Running

I’m excited to share that I’ll be participating in the 2023 New York City Marathon as Team Opportunity Captain! 

I’ve worked at Opportunity International for over six years because their mission continues to inspire me every day. I recently traveled to Malawi to visit the work we’re funding and met some of the most incredible women in my life!  

This mission, paired with my newfound passion for running, made for the perfect match to take on a bold goal to raise $10,000 to help unlock opportunities for Malawian women living on less than $1/day. Through my training and running this fall, I am working to help these women lift their families out of extreme poverty. With your support, women will receive resources to meet their immediate needs and empower them to start businesses, generate income, feed their families, and send their children to school. Every time I run, I’m running for these women.
