I’m excited to share that I’ll be participating in the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon on behalf of Opportunity International as a proud member of Team Opportunity!
Running the NYC Marathon has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. In fact, it feels like it’s been part of my story from the very beginning—literally. My mom found out she had gotten into the marathon when she was pregnant with me, and she ran it not long after I was born. Her strength, grit, and heart inspire me every day, and this race is a tribute to her as much as it is a personal milestone.
What makes this moment even more meaningful is the mission I’m running for. I’ve committed to raising $10,000 to support Opportunity International, an organization I deeply believe in. Their work to empower women in Malawi—many of whom live on less than $1 a day—through financial resources, training, and support is life-changing. With each mile I run, I’m helping provide women with the tools they need to start businesses, support their families, and build brighter futures for their children.
This fall, as I train and race through the streets of New York, I’ll be thinking not only of my mom’s footsteps—but of the steps these women are taking to transform their lives. I would be so grateful if you’d consider joining me by donating to this incredible cause.
