I'm Running for Read Ahead!
Every child needs a champion, so I'm running 13.1 miles for Read Ahead on March 15th!
Please support me as I run this year's United Airlines NYC Half Marathon on behalf of Read Ahead, an organization that pairs New York City public school children with mentors who help them develop the social-emotional skills essential for academic and life-long success. Being a part of this program has been one of the best things I've done since moving to New York, and I've seen firsthand what a positive impact it has had. My mentee and I bonded this year over her love of reading, drawing animals and learning Arabic - which she is teaching me!
