My first ever marathon for a charity close to my heart! I volunteered with special olympics through my high school years, and now teach a self contained special education room in a middle school. Doing this to prove we all can do hard things.

I believe connecting people through sports and physical activity is instrumental in spreading a culture of inclusion, acceptance, and joy. Special Olympics Chicago/Special Children's Charities is working to create a more inclusive Chicago... one mile at a time!

Team Special Olympics Chicago is a group of runners dedicated to supporting thousands of Chicagoans with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and I am proud to be a member of this team.
