My name is Devin Miller and I have recently discovered a passion for running. What started out as an ambitious goal of running a half marathon with little to no training in September of 2023, has propelled me toward the idea of challenging myself and pushing the limits of my body. While running is strenuous activity on your body, it can take an even greater toll on your mind. I am excited to push those limits and better myself while I train for the Chicago Marathon.
Your support is very appreciated, and I plan to document my training progress so you can see how much of a positive impact this has on a person. I chose to run with the Special Olympics as I have people in my life who compete for this organization. For more information on their organization, please read the snippet below:
I believe connecting people through sports and physical activity is instrumental in spreading a culture of inclusion, acceptance, and joy. Special Olympics Chicago/Special Children's Charities is working to create a more inclusive Chicago... one mile at a time!
Team Special Olympics Chicago is a group of runners dedicated to supporting thousands of Chicagoans with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and I am proud to be a member of this team.
I hope that you consider supporting my efforts, and am so grateful for your devoted support to our life-changing mission.
If you wish to make a donation via check, please send to the address below and they will credit the donation to my fundraising page. Please make sure to include my name (or the person you would like to support) in the memo section.
Please make all checks payable to Special Children's Charities.
