Beyond the thrill of individual victory, sport holds a transformative power – the power to forge bonds, celebrate diversity, and create a sense of belonging. Throughout my life, sports have had a huge impact forming relationships, giving me goals to strive for, and memories that will last forever. Special Olympics Chicago/Special Children's Charities harnesses this power, opening doors for thousands of Chicagoans with intellectual and developmental disabilities to experience the joy of physical activity and the warmth of community.

Team Special Olympics Chicago is a group of runners dedicated to supporting thousands of Chicagoans with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and I am proud to be a member of this team.
