Hello friend!!!
I started running just over a year ago and have really enjoyed it- I love the challenge, the feeling of accomplishment and the taste of competition. The running community is like no other! in the spirit of competition and setting bigger goals for myself, I would like to run the 2024 Chicago marathon and have chosen to participate in a fundraising event for the Chicago Special Olympics and Special Children's Charities. The race will take place in October 2024.
I believe connecting people through sports and physical activity is instrumental in spreading a culture of inclusion, acceptance, and joy. Special Olympics Chicago/Special Children's Charities is working to create a more inclusive Chicago... one mile at a time! Team Special Olympics Chicago is a group of runners dedicated to supporting thousands of Chicagoans with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and I am proud to be a member of this team. My daughters have participated in local runs with friends with disabilities. There is no greater moment to see ALL those smiles when they cross the finish line. I am a proud mom and want my girls to be proud of me too!!
