Last year I wanted to achieve a year long goal. That goal was to run a half marathon. In September of 2023 I ran my first half marathon. This year I have set my sights on running a full marathon but this time I am not doing it just for myself. As many of you already know, Emily and I are blessed with Lily who we hope someday will benefit from the Special Olympics. That is why I chose to run the Chicago Marathon not only for myself but also for Lily and all those kids who will someday benefit from the great work that is done by the Special Olympics.
I believe connecting people through sports and physical activity is instrumental in spreading a culture of inclusion, acceptance, and joy. Special Olympics Chicago/Special Children's Charities is working to create a more inclusive Chicago... one mile at a time!
Team Special Olympics Chicago is a group of runners dedicated to supporting thousands of Chicagoans with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and I am proud to be a member of this team.
I hope that you consider supporting my efforts, and am so grateful for your devoted support to our life-changing mission.
If you wish to make a donation via check, please send to the address below and they will credit the donation to my fundraising page. Please make sure to include my name (or the person you would like to support) in the memo section.
