As I lace up my shoes for my 5th marathon, I am filled with a profound sense of purpose and determination. Over the last few years I have encountered my fair share of challenges, and through it all, the sport of running has helped me navigate through adversity and emerge stronger.
My passion for running has led me on a transformative journey-- one that extends far beyond the finish lline. This year, I am driven by a desire to pay it forward and support others facing their own trials. I am honored to be running in support of Special Olympics Chicago, an organization dedicated to creating a more inclusive Chicago, one mile at a time.
As a member of Team Special Olympics Chicago, I am proud to stand alongside a group of dedicated runners commited to making a difference in the lives of thousands of Chicagoans with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Together we share a common goal: to break down barries and build a more inclusive society through the unifying power of sports.
