I am thrilled to be running the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon in support of Special Olympics Chicago! After completing the TCS New York Marathon in 2022 in honor of my great aunt Debbie, I was inspired to continue to give back while doing what I love!

I’ve supported Special Olympics since 2015, when I joined the Special Olympics Tennis Program to get involved in community service at The Lawrenceville School. I loved playing tennis and loved finding ways to help others. Fast forward four years later, I spent every spring semester playing in the Special Olympics Tennis Program with my buddy Eddie. 

Eddie is a long-time player in the program and looks forward to the springtime all year around... He even calls the school on a weekly basis to check in on when the program will start back up again. My time with Eddie was filled with mostly inside jokes and a few rallies across the net. Although Eddie was mostly there to chat, talk about his favorite radio station, and sing Christmas Carols, so was I. Each week, we sang his favorite Christmas Carols and created new inside jokes that we would share as part of our "goals" at the end of the session. 

My time participating in the Special Olympics tennis program was filled with joy and laughter. I hope to work alongside Special Olympics to create a more inclusive world!

Team Special Olympics Chicago is a group of runners dedicated to supporting thousands of Chicagoans with intellectual and developmental disabilities and I am proud to be a member of this team. My personal goal is to raise $1,750 in support of the teams goal of reaching $500,000!
