For me, this is a journey fueled by a passion for supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This passion was ignited in my heart during my time with Mr. Singletary in Adapted Physical Education at OPRF.

Under Mr. Singletary's guidance, I witnessed firsthand the joy, determination, and resilience of individuals with I/DD as they navigated physical challenges. Their spirit resonated deeply within me, sparking a commitment to make a difference in their lives.

My journey continued as I joined Opportunity Knocks, where I served as both an intern and summer staff member. Through my experiences there, I gained invaluable insights into the unique needs and strengths of individuals with I/DD. Whether it was providing support during recreational activities, fostering social interactions, or offering a listening ear, I embraced every opportunity to connect and make a positive impact.

I am pursuing a path to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a career where I can continue to be a voice for those whose voices may often go unheard. I hope to continue to work with the I/DD population in a therapeutic setting.
