Special Children’s Charities has been the driving force behind inclusion and empowerment for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Chicago since 1969.
Special Children’s Charities aims to transcend boundaries and redefine possibilities by serving as a symbol of empowerment and inclusivity within both the disability community and the City of Chicago. They develop and fund recreational, educational, and social activities that encourage positive physical and mental health.
The spirit of accomplishment, inclusion, and joy that are part of the marathon experience are what we strive to provide for thousands of our participants in Chicago neighborhoods.
I choose to run on behalf of this specific organization because working in special education has opened my eyes to the need for advocacy and inclusivity for these populations. I am proud to be supporting a cause I am very passionate about. I appreciate any and all support I receive from you as well!
