I'm proud to be running the 2025 Chicago Marathon on behalf of Team Special Children’s Charities (SCC)—an incredible organization that empowers children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Chicago.
As a collegiate athlete in St. Louis, some of my most meaningful memories came from volunteering with SPENSA, a nonprofit soccer program for young people with disabilities. Those Sundays taught me the power of inclusion through sport—and that same spirit is what drives SCC’s mission today.
The Charity has roots in Chicago, and was founded in 1969 to fund special recreation programs administered by the Chicago Park District. Today, Special Children's serves every neighborhood of the city with over 3,000 participants.
Thank you for your support in helping SCC continue their incredible work!
