I’m running the Chicago Marathon this October in support of Special Children’s Charities—the fundraising arm of Special Olympics Chicago.

This cause is deeply personal to me. Not only does it support incredible athletes, but I’ve seen firsthand the joy, confidence, and connection it brings to our communities.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of cheering, coaching, and helping organize events for these athletes. I’ve witnessed how Special Olympics transforms lives—not just for participants, but for everyone involved. It creates a space where ability is celebrated, friendships are formed, and inclusion thrives.

Training for a marathon is no small feat—but it’s nothing compared to the strength, perseverance, and heart these athletes show every single day. Every mile I run is for them.
