This October, my dad and I have a dream of running the Chicago Marathon together…but we need your help!
If you know me, you know I love my dad; and if you know my dad, you probably love him too. In all honestly, there are very few people that could convince me to run this race besides him. From helping me achieve all the goals and dreams I’ve set out to accomplish, to dropping everything and living with me when I needed love and comfort the most…he has been there for me endlessly. Now it’s my turn to be there for him.
In order to qualify for the run we have to fundraise! We are trying to raise $4,200 that will go for the Special Children’s Charity. Special Children's Charity currently develops and funds a wide range of recreational, educational and social activities that encourage physical and mental health for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring that all individuals have access to high-quality programming. Any donation is so greatly appreciative. All of the money will go to this incredible organization and will also allow my dad and I to create this once in a lifetime memory!
I’m scared, I’m excited, I’m nervous; I’m feeling a little overwhelmed of all the unknown that comes with training and actually running the race. But as life has shown me…I know I will get through it, as long as I have my dad next to me.
