After running the New York City Marathon, I learned how powerful running can be — not just as a personal challenge, but as a way to connect with people, places, and purpose.
This year, I’m taking on my first Chicago Marathon, but this time, I’m running for something bigger than myself.
I’m honored to be running on behalf of Special Children’s Charities, a Chicago-based organization that empowers children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. SCC funds inclusive programs that give these kids the opportunity to play, grow, and belong — through sports, art, summer camps, and more.
Running 26.2 miles takes endurance and commitment, but the strength these children show every day is what truly inspires me. I’m dedicating every mile of this race to them — to their courage, joy, and determination.
My goal is to raise $2,100, and every dollar will directly support SCC’s work here in Chicago. Whether it’s $5 or $50, your donation helps build a world where every child — regardless of ability — has a chance to shine.
Will you join me? Together, we can make every mile count.
If you wish to make a donation via check, please send to the address below and they will credit the donation to my fundraising page. Please make sure to include my name (or the person you would like to support) in the memo section.
Please make all checks payable to Special Children's Charities.
