This October, I’ll be lacing up for the Chicago Marathon—not just for the miles, but for the mission.
As someone who’s spent over a decade chasing finish lines, I’ve learned that endurance isn’t just about physical strength—it’s about heart, purpose, and community. That’s why I’m proud to run in support of Special Children’s Charities, an organization that has been championing inclusion and empowerment for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Chicago since 1969.
Their work resonates deeply with me. The joy, pride, and sense of accomplishment that I’ve found through endurance sports are the very same values Special Children’s Charities brings to thousands of participants in all 77 Chicago neighborhoods. They’re building a more inclusive city—one mile at a time—and I’m honored to be part of that journey.
Fundraising has always been close to my heart. I believe in using my miles to make a meaningful impact, and this cause is one that truly deserves our collective support. Every donation helps create opportunities, break down barriers, and celebrate the abilities of every individual.
If you’d like to support my run, you can donate online—or, if you prefer to give by check, please make it payable to Special Children’s Charities and include my name in the memo so it’s credited to my fundraising page.
Please make all checks payable to Special Children's Charities.
