Since 1969, Special Children’s Charities has been the driving force behind inclusion and empowerment for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Chicago.
Special Children’s Charities aims to transcend boundaries and redefine possibilities by serving as a symbol of empowerment and inclusivity within both the disability community and the City of Chicago.
As an educator, I am deeply passionate about creating inclusive spaces where all students feel seen, valued, supported and safe. The same spirit of belonging and celebration is what draws me to Special Children's Charity. The sense of accomplishment, community and joy are all part of the experience of fundraising for my very first marathon, and the organization strives to provide this experience for thousands of particpants across Chicago's 77 neighborhoods. With your help, we can create a more inclusive Chicago!
If you wish to make a donation via check, please send to the address below and they will credit the donation to my fundraising page. Please make sure to include my name (Emma Grochowski) in the memo section.
Please make all checks payable to Special Children's Charities.
