My name is Nathaniel Hackbarth. I am currently 17 years old and I am training for a half iron man. It will be my first try of any kind. Go big or go home. I am raising money fro Children's Hospital because I was a patient there as a younger kid. I had 10 shunt surgeries there. The first one happening when I was 3 days old. The last one was on Christmas of my second grade year. That was the third surgery of that year. For the 10th surgery they did a new procedure and they fixed my shunt also. Since then I have not had another surgery though I have visited the emergency room and gotten several stitches since then. Over the years I have always loved fitness and have always liked testing my limits. I run cross country in the fall and I play other sports during the spring and winter. I am excited to see how this will go.
