TeaneckPackathon 2024

I am amazed at the resilience of the children in Trois Mares and Chapottin. Even amidst the threats of gang violence and political upheaval, they attend school regularly, are eager to learn, and they keep hope alive for a better future for themselves and their families. These children deserve our applause and our assistance.

On Saturday, November 9, 2024, I will do my part by joining hundreds of volunteers at the Teaneck Packathon to pack 70,000 meals for school children in Haiti. We will pack at Hope Presbyterian Church, 1190 River Road in Teaneck, New Jersey. There will be three (3) packing sessions: 9-11am, 12-2 pm 3-5 pm .

We plan to provide reliable, nutritious, daily lunches the entire 2025 year for the 600 children in the two schools that we support.

It will take a lot of food--almost 10 tons of rice, beans, vegetables and vitamins. In addition to packing, I must raise funds to buy these ingredients. We need to raise $50,000 for the food, shipping and delivery to the two villages and to send some funds for locally-provided meals. I am making it my personal goal to raise $15,000.

Teaneck Packathon is organized by Future Forward for Haiti, Inc. It is a registered 501c3 non-profit, with no paid employees, so over 95% of your gift will go to help in Haiti.
