I'm so excited to be participating in this year's Tech Grind on behalf of RED Academy!

At RED we're all about community and empowering future leaders in design and technology to drive social change and build the future they desire. 

Giving back is why we do what we do. It’s the basis of our curriculum, the foundation of our education model, and the reason we show up day in and day out. Why? Because it matters.

Every step of the journey towards the future matters and that's why we're supporting United Way's School's Out programs which helps vulnerable elementary students in the Lower Mainland make constructive use of their time outside of school. The programs help kids achieve greater academic success, increase their self-confidence and self-esteem, and develop positive social behaviours and lifestyles. And who knows, maybe some of these kids will be future RED grads, making positive social impact through design and technology in your community.

In 2017-2018 United Way of the Lower Mainland was able to help over 5,500 kids participate in high-quality School’s Out programs. This includes things like access to mentorship!
