Like many of you, cancer has had a profound impact on my life and the lives of my loved ones. I have watched grandparents, uncles, aunts, and close friends all fight the brave fight. I chose to join Texas 4000 for Cancer in large part thanks to its mission to cultivate student leaders and engage communities in the fight against cancer, and I hope to come out of this experience a better leader, learner, and human.
I ride for Will McKone, Abuelito Walter, Grandpa Ed, Aunt Lu, Uncle Mark, Uncle Mike, Steve Parsons, and the countless others who have touched my life and had their own upended by a malignant diagnosis.
