Who am I?

I'm third year Psychology and Social Work student planning on pursuing a career in the medical field. Aside from Texas 4000 for Cancer, you can find me spending time with family, trying new hobbies, or serving my community as an EMT.

Why I Ride

Cancer has woven its presence into the fabric of all of our lives, stealing moments with loved ones and leaving a void. The many stories of people affected by cancer, including my grandmother's valiant fight against breast cancer, fuel my passion for change. I truly believe that we can make a difference if we come together as a community.

Joining Texas 4000 for Cancer isn't just a choice; it's a commitment to investing in our future and fostering community engagement in the battle against cancer. Through this journey, I aim to impact the lives of those in my community while honoring the resilience of those affected. Your financial support fuels hope and healing, empowering groundbreaking research and vital support services for those fighting cancer. Together, we can make tangible strides in alleviating the burdens of this disease and providing comfort to those in need. With heartfelt gratitude, I invite you to join me on this journey by contributing to our fundraising efforts. Together, let's turn the tide against cancer and bring light to those in the shadows of this disease.

What's my impact?

Through my participation in Texas 4000 for Cancer, I'm most passionate about raising money for support services and spreading hope in marginalized communities. Many people cannot afford to seek treatment or stay near their families while they're in the hospital receiving treatment. In the last 20+ years of Texas 4000 for Cancer's history, we have granted money to organizations such as Brent's Place that provide living accommodations for immune-compromised children undergoing cancer treatment. These services are incredibly important because they allow people to receive treatment with convenient living conditions that greatly reduce stress during an already difficult time. Additionally, I'm excited to raise money for initiatives such as Oschner's Precision Cancer Therapies Program which provides access to new lifesaving technologies to underserved areas. During the Summer ride of 2025, I'm also greatly looking forward to riding through many of the rural communities along our path to Alaska to hear their stories about their experiences with cancer while spreading hope about the new treatments that we're fundraising for.
