My first encounter with cancer began when an elementary school friend battled leukemia. His fight taught me the pain and grief can bring to families and friends, but it also taught me how mobilizing behind that grief can be powerful.
I joined Texas 4000 to become a member of a determined and dynamic group of students. I hope to gain a sense of teamwork, leadership skills, and inspiration from other students as I watch my fellow teammates prepare for the journey ahead of us.
As the second leading cause of death in the US, cancer requires a robust response to be defeated. Contributions made to Texas 4000 will go directly into funding research and relief efforts.
Please consider donating to support me on this journey. Texas 4000 has a history as the longest annual bike ride and a legacy for changing the lives of those impacted by cancer. Thank you for following along!
