I ride for Texas 4000 to honor the incredible strength and resilience of those who have faced cancer and the uncertainty it brings. My mom, my rock and greatest inspiration, faced a health scare a few years ago with a mass in her pelvic area. Waiting through her biopsy was one of the hardest times. Thankfully, it turned out to be benign, but that experience made me realize how deeply cancer can impact not just patients but their families. Her courage and unwavering support have shaped who I am and fueled my passion for fighting cancer. Without her, I wouldn’t have been able to attend UT, where I discovered an amazing organization like Texas 4000 that lets me channel this passion into something bigger.
I also ride for my friend Rati, who’s courageously battled brain cancer, and my aunt, who has faced breast cancer with strength. And through my experiences at MD Anderson, I’ve met patients whose bravery has deeply inspired me to be a part of their fight. I ride for all of them, and for every family facing cancer’s uncertainty and fear, hoping to offer strength, hope, and support through this journey.
