When my father was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue in 2021, it deeply impacted my family in ways I wouldn’t have been able to imagine. Witnessing his strength and resilience throughout his journey ignited my passion to join the fight against cancer and pushed me to want to do more to support the cause. 

By choosing to be a part of Texas 4000, I’ve been given the opportunity to engage with others within the community who have gone through similar experiences, learning more about what it is like to be affected by cancer both directly and indirectly. I will carry these stories with me on this journey and hope to use them to inspire others to get up and help in this fight as well. By donating and offering support to Texas 4000, we have the ability to help take some of the stress that comes with fighting cancer off of people’s backs and help contribute to cancer research and education. Together, we can make a profound difference in the lives of many across the country.
