Cancer Alley, Louisiana got its name because of mass cancer cases in nearby neighborhoods impacted by industrial pollution. I previously worked for a nonprofit that aimed to change the poor health outcomes of people in communities like this around the country.
Texas 4000 is helping create a world where zip codes don’t determine people’s health outcomes. We unite communities further cancer prevention efforts, support services, and research. I hope being a part of this program will equip me to help serve areas that lack meaningful health and economic infrastructure.
Your contributions make a difference in the outcomes of entire neighborhoods. Oftentimes, the most at-risk communities don’t have resources for preventative or supportive care. Texas 4000 changes this.
Together, we can help people access the care they need. Thank you for supporting a cause that affects us all!
