My Personal Fundraising Page

I'm raising money for my late son, Wyatt Barton, a victim of SUDEP.

We lost our son Wyatt, a forever 18yo recent graduate of WEST PLAINS HIGH and AMARILLO COLLEGE TECHNICAL PROGRAM student, on October 6, 2025 due to his battle with epilepsy. It is called SUDEP - sudden unexplained death in epilepsy patients. More education must be given to families and patients. Our lives have been shattered and will never be the same!

On May 16th, I am participating in the Texas Epilepsy Walk at Thompson Memorial Park and the Amarillo Zoo. This cause is incredibly close to my heart because I believe that no one should have to face the challenges of epilepsy alone.

Why I’m Walking: I am raising funds to support the Epilepsy Foundation Texas and its mission to provide specialized clinics, summer camps, and mental wellness programs to our community at no cost. Our goal this year is to make Amarillo the "Safest City" in Texas by leading the state in Seizure First Aid (SFA) certification.

How You Can Support Me:

  • Donate: Every dollar helps us reach our $25,000 goal to fund vital services.

  • Join My Team: Come walk with me at the Zoo for a day of Community, Care, and Hope.

  • Get Certified: Take the SFA Challenge with me! It’s 90 minutes that could save a life. Hellooooo nurses and teachers - you can use your certificate if it is under 2 yrs old.  learn.epilepsy.com

Thank you for your support and for helping us ensure that everyone in our community is "SFA Ready"!
