This year's walk will mark the 9th time we have laced up the shoes for the Epilepsy Walk. To mark this milestone, we want to raise $10,000 for the Epilepsy Foundation Texas. May 2, 2026 at the Fort Worth Zoo, be there to stand with Colin.
We have felt a lot of feels in these 11 years of Colin’s diagnosis, the first two years mostly darkness, despair, and crippling fear. In 2017, two years into this journey we found the Foundation. After we got involved, first with Colin's week at Kamp Kaleidoscope, then with our talk at a Board meeting, we wanted to find ways to give back.
The people we met through the Foundation have given us the courage to LIVE with Epilepsy. We have taken Colin on trips that we would NEVER have attempted before. Colin has done things such as repel off the side of a 22 story building that he would not have done without the support we feel from the Epilepsy families we have met.
2025 was a transition year for Colin, he had two surgeries, one to remove his VNS and one to change the position of the leads of his DBS. We hope these surgeries will help Colin bring down the number of seizures he has every year. He is looking forward to the Walk and being surround by all of you.
Colin, AKA Captain Rebound, is the FACE of Team Tuite, our WHY, our BECAUSE. He realized his goal of being a counselor at Kamp in 2025. He was a counselor in training last summer and loved every minute. With your help and donations, he can continue to promote the mission of EFTX to send kids to Epilepsy camp where kids living with Epilepsy can just be kids without stigma or worries.
