Welcome to Luke's Train Gang fundraising page! We are coming together on May 2nd for the Texas Epilepsy Walk at Forest Park and the Fort Worth Zoo because this cause is incredibly close to our hearts. Luke and his Train Gang have participated in the Epilepsy Walk since 2017. It all started with 25 team members and now has grown to over 120 team members that walked with Luke last year. This is Luke's favorite day of the year. He is so proud to lead his team and bring awareness to what it means to live with epilepsy. Luke chooses JOY everyday and is an inspiration to many. He and our family are working to build community so no one has to be on this journey alone. Luke has epilepsy, but epilepsy does NOT have Luke.
Our Mission: We aren’t just walking for awareness; we are walking for action. Our team is participating in the SFA Challenge to help Dallas-Fort Worth beat Houston and West Texas in Seizure First Aid certification (on-demand, 90-minute class). By supporting our team, you are funding the four pillars of the Epilepsy Foundation Texas:
Clinics: Providing specialized medical care
Camps: Sending children to summer camp at no cost.
Education: Spreading life-saving Seizure First Aid (SFA) training.
Mental Wellness: Supporting the emotional health of the epilepsy community.
