Years ago my hero, my big brother called me crying in the middle of the night, begging for me to save him. he struggled from addiction and endured a great deal of trauma in his life~ but always made me believe in myself and was the most loving and devoted brother anyone could dream of.
I tried to save him and the fact that he passed away from his addiction haunts me every day of my life. There were few supports in place to help us navigate his battle back then. Today, there are so many families who have to endure this shared pain but at least there are places to turn for help. If The Family Restored had been an option during the darkest days in my brother's life, I truly believe he would still be here today.
