My name is Madasyn Wurm you can call me Madasyn or as my mom calls me "Wiggle Wurm". I wiggle a lot, I can't seem to stay still. Unlike most girls with Rett Syndrome; I walk, skip and twirl!

My nickname suits me to a T. I sit on my own and stand up on my own. I'm my daddy's princess! I have a funny sense of humor, just ask me on my Eyemax for a joke! Tell me one back and you will get to hear my sweet giggle. I use this device because I don't have a typical voice, I have to learn new devices to become my voice.

When I was 4 years old I found out that I had Rett Syndrome. Imagine able to feed yourself, play like others, enjoy independency for 4 years and then all of a sudden your body stops doing what you could once do. That's Rett. It sneaks up without any warning signs. Although I'm not independent I am still a typical fun loving girl and LOVE the typical things like my peers. The best way to get a reaction out of me, is to BELIEVE in me.

I am SMART, BRAVE, VERY SWEET and have the lots of WILL and STRENGTH. Everyday is a challenge with Rett, but I do it with a smile. I will shock you when you're not looking, make your eyes fill with tears and you will see my true side. I love school and I love the cute boys. And most of all I LOVE SOCIALIZING.
