At the heart of this year’s gala will be a special tribute to remarkable women whose generosity and service exemplify the evening’s theme.
We will remember Dr. Peggy House, a former sister whose extraordinary generosity continues to bless our community.
We will also celebrate the Alvernia Alumnae Association, whose members have remained devoted friends of the School Sisters of St. Francis.
Our third tribute will honor the legacy of Sister Maria Rosa Leggol, affectionately known as the “Mother Teresa of Honduras.” Sister Maria Rosa devoted her life to creating opportunities for orphaned, abandoned, and disadvantaged children in Honduras.
The evening begins with a cocktail reception and hors d’oeuvres in the Simone Ballroom Foyer from 5:00–6:00 p.m., followed by an elegant dinner, complimentary hosted bar throughout the evening, live and silent auctions, and a special tribute program honoring our distinguished guests.
Dinner Entrée Selections:
Adding a unique artistic element to the evening, Milwaukee-based painter Kaylee Builer, a graduate of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, will create a live painting inspired by the treasured beauty of St. Joseph Chapel. Guests will have the opportunity to watch this one-of-a-kind work of art take shape throughout the evening.
Award-winning emcee and auctioneer Yve Rojas will return to guide us through the evening, while Mariachi Monarcas de Milwaukee, a talented nine-musician ensemble, will bring the vibrant sounds of mariachi to the celebration. The evening will conclude with live music and dancing.
