I recently accepted the challenge to participate in the Timmerman Traverse to support Damon Runyon cancer researchers who are brilliant, brave, and bold enough to go where others haven’t. Like so many, my family has been touched by cancer. I have spent the last 7 years playing a small part in the ecosystem that helps translate science into medicines, but I know that for so many patients who receive this scary news, the options for treatment remain horribly inadequate.
