Lily is now almost 3yro! It was about 9mos ago when she had her nephrectomy & given the diagnosis of Stage 3 Wilms Tumor Favorable Histology. She underwent chemo & finished in january with clear scans! April 2018 she will get her 3mos scans & if all is clear, she will have her port removed, marking the end of another phase in this journey.
Never do you think it’ll be you! And most people don’t know how prevalent pediatric cancer is. That is, until you’re down in the trenches! There is so little funding for childhood cancers & its important for our community to come together to bring more awareness to this fact! Our kids are most certainly more than 4%! It takes a village! There IS strength in numbers! Be the change!
