This year would have been my 5th year running in New Moms 5k, but with a global pandemic raging it is not in the cards for this year.

But the pandemic has interrupted so much more than our annual race - it has had a disportionate impact on the moms and children that New Moms serves, making our fundraising efforts even more critical.

As our world has radically shifted in the past months, organizations like New Moms become increasingly vital to help sustain young moms and their families. I am proud to continue to support its mission to empower young moms to build a better life for themselves and their children and ask you to support me to that end. 

To get an idea of what your generosity can do for mothers and their children at New Moms:

• $25 can support diapers and formula for 1 family for a week.
• $55 can support 1 night of housing for a young mom and her child.
• $100 can ensure 2 families have the food, diapers, and household supplies they need when they move into New Moms apartments.
• $450 can fund a baby shower for our prenatal support group moms-to-be!
