I fell in love with New Moms when I was an intern at their social enterprise, Bright Endeavors, in 2015 and have been a supporter ever since. This year has brought many unexpected changes to our best-laid plans. In response to COVID-19, we have decided to cancel the 2020 New Moms Gala. This change has created a moment to invite you into something special and transformative—for you and New Moms. At New Moms, we know that community leads to stability. You are a critical part of our community that surrounds two generations of youth, young moms and their children, with all they need to lead their families out of poverty. As they take the driver’s seat of their lives, they take powerful first steps to accomplish their dreams for a thriving future.

We are facing one of the most serious global crises of our time, which has exposed the long-standing systemic racism that has impacted our families for generations. While this storm could threaten the foundations our young moms seek to build for their families, together we can provide cover so they can continue to tap into their potential and increase their economic mobility and wellbeing. When we invest our time, skills, and resources into this important work, our families and communities heal and grow – we all thrive.
