You're invited!  I am inviting you to join me in supporting young moms and their children break the cycle of poverty.  We've all been stuck at home and craving positivity so please consider helping a cause that I promise will give back in many ways :)

Covid-19 has caused immeasurable changes in our world and New Moms is no exception.  Funding sources are challenged and face risk, programs are changed due to social distancing restrictions and our biggest fundraising event- the annual gala- has been cancelled. For 8 months we've contemplated what is "essential" during this trying time.  I cannot think of a more important, more "essential" job than MOTHERHOOD.  The impact of this pandemic is HUGE and we need your support!  

New Moms came into my life 8 years ago when I was looking for a way to help moms and kids.  This demographic was really important to me since my parents were 17 & 18 when they had me.  I saw firsthand the struggles my teen parents endured trying to raise me- kids raising a kids.  We had our stuggles but my parents did the best they could with the resources they had- we had a bed to sleep in, food to eat and full circle of family & friends to support us along the way.  Many are not as fortunate.

When moms walk in the door at New Moms they have no where else to go.  They are 14-24 years old, homeless often victims of physical and emotional abuse.  Most have limited education and no reliable income.  New Moms believes that creating a strong foundation for families is the key to change.  We provide a safe place to sleep, job training for employement success and family support services so that moms are supported holistically and children are meeting milestones we so easily take for granted.
