My name is Nell Maggio, I am a social worker, a mom, and a member of the New Moms Associate Board. 

 I have been lucky enough to be on the Associate Board of New Moms for the second year now, New Moms has continued to do incredible work for young mothers in Chicago. "At New Moms, young moms, 24 and under, take powerful first steps toward economic mobility and family well-being. Our 2-Generation approach puts families experiencing poverty in control of their goals and unleashes their potential. Understanding the interconnected goals and well-being of young moms and their kids means we can engage with and support the goals of whole families at once." 

The pandemic has exposed the long-standing systemic racism that has impacted the New Moms families for generations. While this storm could threaten the foundations our young moms seek to build for their families, together we can provide cover so they can continue to tap into their potential and increase their economic mobility and well being. Your donation, from $5 to $100 will enable New Moms to continue to do their incredible work.

It is not easy to ask but if you are able to give, knowing that any amount will have a powerful impact on the young mothers, their children, and the entire community of New Moms.
