Despair is not the answer.

That's why I'm participating in Fund Collective Change, a fundraiser supporting Transformative Change — because after most of a lifetime of fighting my own despair of the world, managing by trial & error to make headway on my own, Transformative Change helped me set the conditions to be with the world as it is — and with me as I am, too. Check out my video for some of my story.

It comes down to this: yeah, there's a lot of ugliness in the world. There's also beauty, joy, compassion, & love. It's not just a choice between ugliness and beauty, between despair and joy, between hate and love, between you and me. Those are all false binaries. Our world encompasses all of it. And compassion & love — including self-compassion & self-love — are not only worth fighting for. They're also the foundations of self-liberation & the liberation of all our kin, human and otherwise. The world we live in will not change for the better — social justice, health of all beings & of the earth, you name it — unless we first change our relationship with ourselves. And that's what Transformative Change is about. My liberation, your liberation, everyone's liberation — bar none.

I take liberation personally. I hope you do too. Every donation—big or small—supports the work that all of us in this collective of Transformative Change are doing to step up towards the liberation of all. Can you step up too?
