I wasn't going to participate in fundraising this year.
I didn't want to record a video. I didn't want to write a whole thing about defying binaries.
I have been immersed in parental caregiving-from-afar and tending to the grief I've been carrying. I was choosing love and feeling gratitude for what was made possible by my participation in Transformative Change.
Not a binary, right? ?
It's there in the separation between me and those I'm caring for. It's there in the separation between me and the collective whose company in the programs of Transformative Change has been the catalyst for the deepening love, own-belonging and non-separation that has enabled me to be with the grief and sweetness of what continues to unfold in life.
I could tell you about how transformative those programs have been.
Radical Dharma Camp. Embodied Social Justice. MNDFL Retreats. be.ing Transformation. Healing Race Portal. no big deal sits.
That would be a long story. (and that isn't even the full list.)
So instead, I'm sharing a few photos.
One of them is in the video at the bottom of the main fundraising page. (You should totally check it out after you've heard me out.) As I watched that video, this image grabbed me and wouldn't let go. It filled me with love as I dropped into the resonance of the continued reverberations of full-bodied heart-pulsation that is how I am when I am being in this work, with these amazing humans.
It reminded me that sharing that photo and what it means to me, inviting you into connection through sharing this story and the energetic flow of funds, is also self care.
It is also love.
