1. What is the Starry Night - Trivia Challenge event?

Starry Night - Trivia Challenge is an upbeat community event designed to raise awareness, celebrate our babies, and create hope for families who have experienced child loss.

2. How do I attend and what can I expect at Trivia Night?

Join us, rain or shine, at Epping Forest Clubhouse located on the waterfront in Annapolis, MD:

354 Severn Rd.

Doors open at 4:30 PM with trivia beginning at 5 PM.

Honor your baby’s memory by adding his or her name to a star for our memorial garland, and have your picture taken in our photo booth. Stop by our raffle and silent auction to bid on more than $2,800 in prizes donated by the community. And fuel your trivia power by stocking up at our chili and snack bar, and grab one free beer or soda included with your ticket purchase (extra beverages will be available for purpose).

We will have 10 rounds of trivia, with family-friendly games and additional chances to win prizes between rounds. All trivia skillsets are welcome—you don’t need to be an expert to come have fun with us!    

Tickets to attend are $40 per person (children 10 and under are free) and may be purchased on our website via the Attend Event tab https://secure.qgiv.com/event/trivia/register/,  or at the entrance on the day of the event. When registering online, please make sure to register each attendee separately.

You must be present to claim winning items. Please note, there is no ATM onsite -  bringing extra cash and/or checks is encouraged for silent auction and raffle participation.

 

3. Is the Trivia Night family-friendly?

This event is a family-friendly, upbeat gathering and we encourage families to attend.

Children 10 & under are free. There will be an area designated for children’s activities. Additionally, there is an outdoor play area with a playset adjacent to the clubhouse.

4. Can I choose to fundraise?

Yes! You can register as an individual, create a team, or join a team. By committing to this event and pledging to raise money for its success, you are helping raise invaluable funds to support stillbirth awareness, research, education, advocacy, and family support.

Even if you've never raised money before, our materials and strategies will make it easy for you to solicit and collect sponsorships from friends, family, colleagues, neighbors, and others. Make it personal, as you want them to know that they are sponsoring YOU and YOUR efforts! Tell your story, and you will be surprised to see how quickly friends, family, and co-workers will respond to your request to help this wonderful cause.  And share often on social media! Additionally, many companies offer charitable donation matching programs, so make sure to ask your sponsors to check with their employers.

5. How can my supporters submit payment?

Online contributions can be made by credit card on the participant's personalized fundraising page or team page found on this website - on the Donate tab https://secure.qgiv.com/event/lnb/donate/, just click the "Search for Participant or Team" button.  Alternatively, donations can be made to the event overall without designating a team/participant by completing the form on the donation page.

To mail in a payment, please send a check made out to Star Legacy Foundation. If you would like to donate to a Participant or Team, please write “Trivia Night” as well as the Participant or Team name in the memo line and mail to:

Please remind your supporters that they can double their impact by submitting donations to their Employer Matching Program http://starlegacyfoundation.org/matching-donation-programs/!

Corporate event sponsors can pay online via the form on the Donate page https://secure.qgiv.com/event/lnb/donate/, or can be invoiced (please email maryland@starlegacyfoundation.org to request an invoice).

5. Is there a refund/exchange policy?

If a donation was made accidentally or for the wrong amount, we will be happy to make any necessary changes or corrections. Event registration fees are not refundable, but we are able to transfer registrations and correct mistakes in registration information as needed.  Please email us at maryland@starlegacyfoundation.org to make us aware of any issues you may have encountered.

6. Is parking available?

There is plenty of free parking at Epping Forest Clubhouse and in the surrounding neighborhood.  

7. What are the silent auction and raffle prizes?

8. Are walk-up registrations accepted?

Although advance registration is preferred to help with event planning, walk-up registrations are accepted - cash/check payment is preferred, or you can pay on the website from your phone.  

9. I can't make it! Can my baby still be included?

Of course!  Please register as a Virtual Participant - we will include your baby in the event’s memorial.

After registering, you will also have the option to customize an individual and/or team page memorializing your baby - friends and family can donate through your page in honor of your baby.
