Crash Story: On December 17, 2008, Lisa Alleman’s life was forever changed when her husband, Ronald Alleman, tragically lost his life in a truck crash. Icy roads caused an empty tandem truck to jack-knife, leading to the devastating collision. Tandem trucks, which are particularly unstable in adverse weather conditions, can become extremely hazardous to other vehicles.
Ronald was a U.S. Army veteran, honorably discharged in 2003, and a dedicated chemist. He loved spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, and grilling for his family. Ronald left behind his wife, Lisa, and their child, Grey (Elisabeth), who was not yet two years old at the time of the crash but continues to feel the profound absence of their father.
Relationship/Involvement with TSC: Lisa is an extraordinary volunteer for the Truck Safety Coalition, pouring her creativity and passion into making a difference. She has contributed beautiful quilts and TSC memory bears for silent auctions, honoring victims and raising crucial funds to support TSC’s mission.
Why Supporting TSC Matters: "Every quilt I sew and every bear I create is a tribute to my husband’s memory and a reminder of why we fight for safer roads. Supporting TSC ensures no family has to endure the heartbreak my family has faced." - Lisa Alleman
