Hello!

You ended up on this page for some reason. Maybe I solicited you for help. Maybe you heard through a family member or friend of mine that I was looking for support. Maybe you stumbled upon this on "The Facebooks." Regardless, you are here!

A little about me. I am a 29 year old, mediocre runner. In 2016 I decided to start making running part of my normal workout routine. I completed a few 5Ks, and then said what the heck, and ran a half marathon in October. I hit my goal finish time during that race and crossed the finish line in more pain then I had felt in a while. Oh and I lost two toenails...felt you needed to know :).

I have always wanted to run Grandma's Half Marathon in Duluth. I actually have sat at the finish line more years then I can count, inspired by what I see, but never taking the jump to join in. The idea of running that race has just been too intimidating for no good reason other than my own insecurities.

Well, 2017 is the year I finally run it, and the reason I decided to is because an opportunity presented itself that I just couldn't refuse. I will be running as part of Team Superstars for Children's Hospitals of MN! This is where you come in! I have pledged to raise $1,000, and I am looking for donations to help me with this goal. I Run -- You Donate -- Children Win!

You, a family member or friend may have been touched by the amazing work Children's Hospitals of MN does. You may believe in their mission. However, if you don't know about Children's here is the skinny:

• You can't afford medical care for your child...doesn't matter, bills are on them (thanks to the generosity of financial donors like you.)
• You have no place to stay while your child is receiving medical care...no problem, they have you covered for as long as it takes.
• You are terrified of your child's diagnosis...rest assured, the first rate doctors and staff at Children's provide care that is second to none.

If you made it this far...THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART! Every dollar I raise has a matching donation! Paul Marvin, The President of Marvin Windows and Doors (the company I work for) has been personally touched by the great work Children's Hospitals of MN does, and he believes so greatly in this cause, he is matching EVERY DOLLAR I RAISE. When the goal of $1,000 is reached, it actually means $2,000 will be given to Children's. If I exceed my goal, doesn't matter, Paul WILL JUST KEEP MATCHING!
