The greatest sister duo ever has just signed up to run the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon as part of Team Superstars! I'm so grateful to have her in my life and am honored that she asked me to be a part of this incredible event!
As a nurse at Children's Hospital, my sister sees the daily struggles and pain the kids and families go through as they win or lose their battles with this tragic illness. One incredible service that helps to alleviate some of the painis the "Cancer Kids Fund". It helps to cover many services and amenities that provide extra care and comfort to kids and families in the midst of a cancer or blood disorders journeys. All the proceeds we'll be raising will go to support the Cancer Kids Fund!
My students, being the coolest people on the planet, decided I should add in fun and crazy milestones along my journey to raise $1000+ for this cause. (Just to give you an idea of their creativity there's been discussion of fuzzy pink pig footie pajamas and pudding pies to the face.) Stay tuned for details on whatever they talk me into...
