I am fundraising for Tisch MS, a cause that is very important to me. I am running this marathon in honor of my Grammy, who battled with MS for much of her life until her passing last year. She was diagnosed when I was young and was truly my best friend-- we were always a pair and when we weren't in close proximity, we still talked on the phone every single day. I always admired her strength and while I wish that there was a cure available to her, I know how happy she would be about the work being done to find one that can help so many others. The Tisch MS Research Center is working towards finding this cure as well as better treatment options and the cause of MS. There is so much still unknown about MS, but Tisch is making great strides in their research. All donations will go directly to them and their efforts. I am very excited to be running the NYC Marathon with Team Tisch for a cause that is so close to my heart.
