Kelti Smith graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in studio art. After graduation, she moved to NYC to study fashion at Parson's New School for Design before returning to Austin and working as a freelance illustrator and painter. She has been solely focused on her painting career since 2017. She has been featured on the covers of Tribeza Magazine and in articles in Austin Monthly, Culture Map, and Domino Magazine. Smith participated in a group show titled High Grounded in Austin, TX, in April 2023 and an Open Call Show for Austin Artists at McLennon Pen Co. Gallery in May 2023.
